Cobb County Radio Control Club 2016 Heavy Lift Rlues
Competition consist of a fixed wing airccraft taking off on the asphalt runway making a 360 degree circle and landing on same runway with atleast one wheel on runway at all times.
The aircraft cannot cross it flight path but can make as many circles in the same direction as takeoff as pilot needs to make a successful landing.
Weight is added each round of competition until one competitor is left.
Two classes will compete Modified class and Arf class described below.
Pilots are allowed an assistant to hold aircraft to spool up engine at takeoff and assist pilot during flight.
Aircraft is allowed to runoff at end of runway if pilot has made a successful landing as descibed above.
All parts must stay attached to aircraft to be deemed a sucessful flight.
Competitor will get three tries to achive a sucessful flight.
Repairs are allowed between rounds as long as no new parts are added with excepetion to props. Broken props will be allowed to be changed.
Bounce landings are permitted as long as all wheels have made constant contact to runway for atleast 15ft before stopping.
Aircraft must touch down on runway before last half of runway.
Contest director and two line judges will make final ruling on all sucessful flights.
Both class will use any 46 size or smaller motor with a stock exhaust(exhaust cannot be modified in anyway).
The club will supply all fuel(15%) for competition.
Fee will be $25.00 presignup and $30.00 day of event includes lunch for pilot.
AMA licensce is required to fly.
Anything goes, any size, any electronics(gps gyros etc) only restriction is any 46 size motor with stock exhaust.
Wingspan plus fuse lenght equals to or less than 151 inches.
ARF kit is to remain stock as it comes from manufacture.
